Jim graduated from Moravian University in 1993 with a BA in Business Management and a BA in Criminal Justice. Blessed to have the ability to work side by side with his Dad, who is his mentor as well as the founder and president of Whirl Construction is one of the greatest gifts of Jim’s career. Further, having a top-notch team is something Jim is grateful for every day. Being a part of something much bigger than himself is something Jim enjoys. In 1998, together with his team, Jim constructed one of the largest play spaces on the east coast at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan set as the backdrop; this was a project like no other. Fast forward to 2018, Jim along with his team removed that same playground and reconstructed a modern version in that exact play space. This time the backdrop would be much different. As Jim says, “Projects like this are more than just work. What starts as a job ends with an emotional bond that won’t soon be forgotten.” Jim serves as a Trustee on the board of the National Playground Contractors Association, Inc. (NPCAI). He also serves as a session member in his church. When he is not working, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well an occasional
